Tiyana B. Glenn was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. She grew up in a loving home with her younger brother and parents. Her father was in the military and her mother worked in the education field. After high school graduation, she moved to Charlotte, NC to attend college.

Tiyana graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies degree. After college, she worked in the nonprofit industry focused on the out-of-school time (i.e. afterschool, summer programs), youth development, and education fields. While working, she received a MS degree in Family & Human Development at Arizona State University. She also completed a Grant Writing Suite Certificate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Tiyana lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband, Ashton. She is a proud and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. serving as the Foundation’s Technology & Public Relations Committee Chair. She is a foodie (sweets are her weakness) that loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and watch reality television.
